More Than a New Year

Don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. Romans 6:3,4 How was your New Year’s celebration? Did you spend time with friends and family? Did you stay up until midnight? Did you sleep in on New Year’s Day? Here’s another question: How has your New Year’s celebration impacted your life in the … Continue Reading

Happy New Year from ALS!

ALS staff and faculty wish all you a happy new year in the Lord. You may have had a good year or not. You may have been healthy this year or not. You may have been wealthy this year or not. The good news is that in the last year and in the next year and all the years to come the grace and love of God is with you. Your sins are forgiven and you are at peace with God now. Live in that peace this next year. Enjoy it!

A King is Born!

ALS faculty and staff would like to wish you a merry Christmas! We hope that it’s one filled with food, gifts, and all sorts of blessings, but we also pray that this time of year you are able to rest in the facts of the Christmas story: that God, made flesh, came down to earth to be born as  a humble human being for you!

Hold to Jesus’ Teaching

Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: “Who am I, Sovereign LORD, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?” . . . “How great you are, Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.” 2 Samuel 7:18,22 Happy Thanksgiving! That phrase will be said millions of times today in America. ALS has been offering library workshops for students this October and November. Through these workshops, students will gain a deeper understanding of the library’s collection resources, as well as how to use the e-library and other support software. This will help them make more effective use of library resources to enhance their theological studies and spiritual growth. If you’re interested in using the library or have questions, please email us at info@als.org.hk
