In recent years, October has become known as Pastor Appreciation Month. We at ALS are thankful for the many pastors God has used to encourage and help us over the years. We also appreciate all that pastors and other church workers do for God’s people today: faithfully preaching his Word, caring for souls, and pointing people to their Savior. Many of our own faculty members are pastors who draw on their ministry experience to pass on godly wisdom to our students as they train the next generation of pastors. This month, we invite you to join us in thanking God for the pastors and church workers in your life, and to tell them so, too! “Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work.” (1 Thessalonians 5:12–13)
