Happy Ascension Day

Ascension is often overshadowed by Easter and Pentecost, but it is still important nonetheless. Ascension marks the pivotal moment Christ took his seat in glory to rule over all things. This fact gives us hope, reminding us that our Savior lives and reigns for us even now. We at ALS wish you a blessed Ascension Day as you find comfort in the promise of his Christ’s ongoing presence and certain return.

Happy Labour Day

As you rest from your labour this Labour Day, take a moment to thank God for the gift of work and the gift of rest. Both of these were part of God’s plan for creation even before the fall into sin. We ask that God would continue to draw our eyes to him and his love for us this day as we remember the Apostle Paul’s encouragement, “Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
