Today is Good Friday. The day that the church observes the redemptive work that Christ did with his death on the cross for all humans of all time. We mourn the fact that the Son of God needed to die to save us from our sins, so that we could be reconciled with him, but we rejoice that he did and we look forward to celebrating the resurrection hope we have on Easter. “He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 ...
《Christ, the Book of Life》- Eternal Election Proclaimed in the Gospel Scripture directs us not to the hidden will of God, but to Christ, the Book of Life. In this seminar we will see how the Bible’s doctrine of eternal election is an important part of the gospel and how it gives comfort and certainty to believers. If God chose his people from eternity, how can we know who they are or if we are among them? Scripture directs us not to the hidden will of God, but to Christ, the Book of Life. In this ...

We have recently begun renovations on the 11th floor of our Hong Kong campus. In the next few months, these renovations will be completed and will change the previous office space into a classroom/meeting room. We are excited for the refresh so that our students can have the best learning environment possible!
This week faculty and Governing Board members from all over the world met for 2 days in person in Hong Kong to discuss ALS’s expanding programs, the routine re-accreditation process through the ATA, and ultimately how ALS can best use the resources and talents God has given us to share the gospel and raise up leaders for the Church. We thank God for the wisdom and guidance of the board members.
Lent is more than a tradition; it’s a time to center our lives on the redeeming work of Jesus. Rather than focusing on our own self-denial, we emphasize the sacrificial love of a Savior who gave everything so that we might have life. Though not a divine command, we observe these forty days in Christian freedom as we prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Join us as we reflect on the grace and mercy God has so richly given to us. God bless your Lent season!

This week, the Asia-Oceania Team (AOT) — a group of Lutheran missionaries dedicated to spreading the gospel in Asia — is gathering in Chiang Mai for their annual meeting. Since Asia Lutheran Seminary is the theological training arm of the AOT, all ALS faculty will be attending. The group will spend 4 days reflecting on God’s blessings over the past year and discerning how to best serve their various regions in the year ahead. Please join us in praying for their safety while traveling and for God to grant them wisdom during these sessions.
